The difference between pulse laser cleaning machine and continuous laser cleaning machine

May,21,2024

There are obvious differences between pulse laser cleaning machines and continuous laser cleaning machines in terms of principle, application scope, cleaning effect, equipment cost and operation. Pulse laser cleaning machines use high-energy pulse lasers to generate instantaneous high temperatures and high pressures, which can better remove contaminants and are suitable for various industries. Continuous laser cleaning machines are suitable for surface cleaning of objects that require continuous heating. The operation requirements of pulse laser cleaning machines are higher and the equipment cost is relatively high.

1: Differences in principles

Pulse laser cleaning machine: Pulse laser cleaning machine uses high-energy, high-frequency pulse laser beams to instantly heat and cool the surface of the object,

forming an instantaneous temperature gradient and thermal stress, so that contaminants and thin coverings can fall off the surface. The principle is that through

short-term, high-energy irradiation of laser pulses, high temperature and high pressure are instantly generated, which quickly evaporates or crushes pollutants to

achieve a cleaning effect.

Continuous laser cleaning machine: Continuous laser cleaning continuously emits laser beams to heat the surface of the object to achieve cleaning. Continuous laser

is characterized by continuous and stable energy output, which often has a gentle cleaning effect on the surface of objects.

 2: Differences in application scope

Pulse laser cleaning machine: Pulse laser cleaning machine is widely used in various industries, such as automobile manufacturing, electronic equipment, aerospace,

semiconductor processing, etc. It can be used to remove various contaminants such as paint, oxides, welding slag, etc. Because pulse laser cleaning has the characteristics of high

energy and short action time, it is suitable for cleaning objects with high surface requirements.

Continuous laser cleaning machine: Continuous laser cleaning has certain applications in medical device disinfection, paper cleaning and other fields. Compared

with pulse laser, continuous laser has lower energy and is more suitable for cleaning objects that require continuous heating.

3:Comparison of cleaning effects

Pulse laser cleaning machine: Pulse laser cleaning machine can produce instantaneous high temperature and high pressure, effectively remove contaminants on

the surface of objects, and has a good cleaning effect. Because pulsed laser cleaners have less impact on the substrate, they can clean all types of surfaces more safely.

Continuous laser cleaning: Due to the low temperature of continuous laser, the cleaning effect is relatively weak and cannot handle fragile or easily meltable materials.

However, continuous laser cleaning usually has a certain effect on some rough surface cleaning.

4: Differences in equipment cost and operation

Pulse laser cleaning machine: Pulse laser cleaning machines usually require higher equipment costs because they can achieve zero damage to centralized

procurement and are suitable for cleaning products that have high requirements on the surface of the substrate. At the same time, operators need to have certain

professional knowledge and skills to ensure safe operation.

Continuous laser cleaning machine: Compared with pulse laser cleaning machines, continuous laser cleaning machines have lower equipment costs and are suitable

 for large-scale industrial cleaning needs.
